Mindless MORONS and Stupid Actions

Now it’s all very often I have a REALLY GOOD moan and groan, but this is going to be one of those exceptions because right now I feel really rattled and just need to put it down on paper to let it out myself! Yesterday I returned from Crystal Palace in London with my daughter who was fighting at an international judo contest.
After driving the 170 miles home I turned into our PRIVATE ROAD to discover it was blocked by a good-sized tree which had fallen across the road. I was just 100 yards from my home but had to stop and spend ages pulling this tree out of the way so we could pass.
The first thing which I notice was that it HAD NOT fallen naturally, but rather being cut down which was evident by the bright white stump which stood up in evidence above the wall.
Who could have done such a thing?
Now this was a lovely specimen of a tree which was a sort of lime green in the springtime, and went to a beautiful yellow before the leaves turn brown in the autumn. I have often admired it and thought what nice background to our Crescent this tree made.
So why was it lying across the road?
Just a few minutes later one of my elderly neighbours came out to tell me the story of a madman who came to chop the tree down. It appears that the owners of the house and garden from which this tree fell had decided to trim some trees which overhung their property and caused shade and darkness. This was on the opposite side of their property. The property owner of the abode they backed onto had decided that he DIDN’T LIKE them doing this even though it didn’t affect him in ANY WAY, and so, in retaliation he decided to HIGHLIGHT this fact quite dramatically presumably so they wouldn’t do it again.
So, he took his bow saw walked into our private road and cut down his neighbour tree which we all benefited from! What a MORON! I find it difficult to believe that people will behave in such a way and exercise on this vigilante behaviour. What would have happened I would like to know if someone had argued with him and upset him instead, would he have felt JUSTIFIED in shooting them?
The police are coming around to night to interview everyone involved. I really hope that they will take SERIOUS ACTION against him because I believe it is a very serious offence which should carry a serious punishment.

You need to involve the council, as it is the councils environmental service’s or planning departments jurisdiction. They take this seriously, he may also have broke planning laws.
The council is more likely to prosecute him than the police.
Thank you for that valuable wisdom Rob.
